THE ROLE

As a Senior AI Engineer specializing in Generative AI (GenAI) at CHAPTR, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI technologies. In this dynamic position, you will:

  • Lead and Innovate: Drive the development and launch of groundbreaking GenAI products slated for 2024 and beyond. Your deep expertise in large language models (LLMs) and AI model architectures will position you at the forefront of the industry, transforming cutting-edge ideas into tangible, revolutionary applications.
  • Explore and Expand: Venture into foundational AI implementations and contribute to a robust pipeline of GenAI projects. Your role will involve both enhancing existing technologies and pioneering new concepts that could redefine content, media, and entertainment industries.
  • Impact and Influence: Stay abreast of emerging trends in the AI landscape, leading CHAPTR’s efforts to harness and influence these developments. Your work will ensure that CHAPTR not only adapts to but also dictates the pace and direction of the GenAI sector.Technical Mastery: Excel in the end-to-end lifecycle of AI products, from ideation and development through to training and deployment. Your technical acumen will ensure the highest standards of quality and innovation in every project you touch.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Enhance AI Capabilities: Implement and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and develop LLM-powered applications to ensure performance, latency, and scalability meet production standards.

  • Multimodal AI Development: Engage in the development and fine-tuning of multimodal models to handle diverse data types, achieving synergistic performance across different media.

  • AI System Lifecycle Management: Lead the development and deployment of AI systems using MLOps practices, encompassing efficient model training, testing, deployment, and scaling.

  • Advanced AI Systems Design: Design and build custom evaluations and agentic AI systems like AutoGen and CrewAI, capable of performing complex tasks autonomously.

  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, including agentive frameworks, reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), and explainable AI.

  • Tooling and Integration: Manage the integration and utilization of LLM-enabled software tooling, such as LangChain, vector databases, HuggingFace, caching solutions, and monitoring tools.

  • Knowledge Enhancement: Work with knowledge graphs to improve the contextual understanding and response accuracy of AI models, enhancing generative AI applications in the publishing industry.

  • Collaborative Model Development: Collaborate with AI Engineers to implement solutions, train, optimize, and validate models for various AI challenges identified during the product development lifecycle.

 

WHAT WE’D LOVE TO SEE

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Python, with a proven track record of deploying and optimizing large language models (LLMs) and related architectures.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in AI frameworks, particularly PyTorch, and familiarity with a broad range of technologies relevant to AI development and deployment.

  • MLOps Expertise: Extensive experience in managing the entire model lifecycle, from development to deployment and scaling, including data and artifact management.

  • NLP Solutions: Demonstrated experience in building and deploying NLP solutions, focusing on custom model training and fine-tuning.

  • AI Tooling: Expertise in modern AI infrastructure supporting LLM deployment, including vector databases and monitoring tools.

  • Knowledge Graphs: Hands-on experience with building and implementing knowledge graphs to enhance AI functionalities.

  • Innovative Mindset: Solid understanding of the latest trends and technologies in AI, particularly agentive systems, RLHF, and explainable AI, with the ability to apply these in transformative ways.
